Fine custom made furniture (and such) is realized and brought to life in the little shop of S&S Woodworking.

Thanks to Steve Smith (founder of S&S Woodworking) for the use of his shop, I had the chance to build a vanity for my bathroom. Me being a grease monkey, I had a taste of what it's like to be a craftsman.

Here's a couple pictures of where the magic takes place.

This is the section where most things start there life.

This is where most things are assembled.

I took a few pictures of the progress of my base cabinet/vanity.

Enjoy!!

Well, here's my first look at my cabinet... now what?

After some assitance from Steve and his tape messure, the shell for the vanity is in it's last stage.

These are the drawers that will live in the base cabinet. As you can see, I'm skipping the step of laminating the sides that would cover the screws.

These are the drawer fronts that will be assembled later.

In this picture, I'm adding the drawer slides to the drawers and cabinet.

The drawers are in and sliding VERY smoothly. Can you pick out the drawer that I was an 1/8" off on?

Other than the handles, final alignments, and a good cleaning, here's the finished product. The Vanity's base is on the foor off to the lower right

This is just my work, Steve's work puts mine to shame. You would not believe the craftsmanship that takes place in this little shop, if you only knew!!!

The Corian top and wall cabinets will be next.
